35 weeks: Tying up "Loose Ends" :-)

Last weekend we finished all the baby laundry with the “special detergent” and installed the car seat! We also got Bennett’s “temporary Lansing room” (the one he’ll be in for ~ one month until we relocate up north for the summer) all finished, including the beautiful bassinet Grandpa and Sherryl got us! Other than that, nothing too notable happening! We were grocery shopping at Meijer yesterday and I looked down and my fingers looked like kielbasas!! They swelled up for the first time since being pregnant! It was funny… probably because it only lasted about an hour and then went away. Also, I had some minor back pain for the first time last week, but I think it was partially a result of scrubbing the walls up north that weekend before. I am feeling really great in general. Here are a couple of weekend pics!

We also went to our friends Jim and Lisa's house on Saturday... It was a beautiful day and about 75 degrees! I picked Lisa's brain on breast feeding (she has a five-year-old girl and a son that is 20 months) and lots of other "mother" subjects. Also, they made a FABULOUS turkey dinner (it was like Thanksgiving!) and gave us all sorts of wonderful baby gifts, including one of the coolest things I've seen yet: a "pee-pee teepee" to assist while changing a boy! As I am sure you know first-hand or have heard, boys have a tendency to pee straight up, and often while changing. Parents can get a face full, so these little guys really come in handy! ;-) This is what it looks like (but with different wording)...

All in all, things are great! We are very excited!!
