IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Image
Yep, it's a boy! We are SO excited! We were very good and waited until Christmas morning to open "the envelope"... We were at the Baldwin house and got to share the moment with a lot of family. So, I guess maternal instincts kick in a little sooner than expected since I thought it was a boy the whole time! ;-) We are going to name him Bennett Ashley -- Ashley after my brother and we have a friend named Bennett... both of us have always liked that name (congrats to Bennett and his beautiful wife Andi, BTW - They just welcomed their first child, Mallory Rose, into the world last Friday!). Check out Bennett's cool new gear below! Now, which one will he leave the hospital in?! ;-)

Sealed With A Kiss

Had the gender verification ultrasound last Wednesday! They were really good about honoring my wishes of putting the "results" in a sealed envelope. I had to close my eyes through most of the appointment, but they told me when I could open for some G-rated shots! ;-) My dear friend Kristin, who is a nurse, came with... funny, she knows what it is before we do! Anyway, six more days and we'll know the sex! :-) I am still convinced it's a boy, and for no reason other than "gut instinct". In the mean time, it's really neat to see how much the baby has grown!

Preggo!

So, I bought a couple of fun shirts that you'll be seeing over the next few months... ;-) Just a few things to make me feel more "festive" about being pregnant! Annie and Katie, it was great seeing you last weekend!! :-)

Dreaming of a White Christmas...

We hit the "16 week" mark last Saturday! It's hard to believe... At first it seemed to go by so slowly and now it is flying by. We had an appointment last Thursday and everything is where it should be! The baby's heart beat is still 160 and I've gained 6 lbs! I feel really good. We finished our Christmas shopping yesterday and put up the tree. We even put up a little stocking for our baby-to-be! We're so excited to find out what it is so there is no more referring to "it". In fact, our appointment to find out the gender isn't until January 5th. The girl who opened her Christmas presents a week early last year (with Quinn's permission and participation) cannot wait that long! I am having an elective ultrasound on December 17th. They have been given instructions to put the ultrasound pictures, as well as the gender written down, into a sealed envelope. Quinn and I are going to open the envelope on Christmas with our families! We are so excited!...
