25 Weeks... Already!!

It's been awhile since I've posted... Things seem to be getting busier as we get closer to the due date - I wonder why??! ;-) I am really embracing being pregnant. I am visibly pregnant now and don't just look like I'm eating too much, which is great ;-). If you've been pregnant, you know what I mean! In the first months (just over five, for me), you look more "husky" than pregnant... The "bump" isn't that distinguishable! However, that has changed and I find my belly irresistible; I just want to rub it all the time! Bennett moves around like my belly is a jungle gym and our tech for the "gender verification" ultrasound said he was moving so much he looked like he was at a rock concert! We recently took a trip to Miami... I had a voucher and a free ticket from work travel, so it was a very inexpensive trip. We thought it would be a good idea to have a "Babymoon". For those of you that are unfamiliar, here is Wikipedia's definition: "A vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby." Well said! And it was just that... wonderful and relaxing. We had no agenda but still managed to drive to the Keys, Ft. Lauderdale, have a Cuban dinner with one of my clients and swim in the ocean. It was great! Flying definitely isn't as fun as it used to be! ;-) With multiple necessary trips to the restroom these days and my desire to have the "best seat in the house" (the window seat, of course!), it is a constant struggle of want vs. necessity! ;-)
My friend Kim and her husband Bryan just had their first baby... Congratulations! They had a beautiful, healthy girl (Emmerson, ~ 9.5lb). My sister-in-law Kristin is right behind me, and ANOTHER very close friend just found out she's pregnant! I am not allowed to tell who it is yet - I'll work on her! ;-)
