Continuing to grow :-)

Wow, almost 25 weeks now!! My 24 week appointment was great – but unexpected… Here’s the deal: I had gained 10lbs by the 20 week mark. But, between 20 and 24 months, I gained EIGHT POUNDS!!! I am not at all “hung up” on weight, but it just surprised me. So, 18lbs so far and growing. I will keep updating!

I’ve been feeling great, though had a small touch of a stomach bug again the last couple of days. Teaching Pilates is still wonderful, and it has been fun to progress with my current classes. There are definitely exercises I was able to do a couple months (and even weeks) ago that I am no longer able to do (safely).

Bennett is such a big boy. He had his first dentist appointment yesterday! His little mouth is crowded, just like mom’s and dad’s ;-), so they say he’ll need braces early. Otherwise, he’s in perfect health and didn’t even cry! Thanks, Dr. Dana!

The Campbell family came to visit last weekend from Pittsburgh. We hadn’t seen Mark and Kelly since our wedding, and had never met their two kids! Bennett and Lily had a blast (probably Bennett more-so than Lily ;-)… I think he had a crush!), and Baby Ryan was a trooper through an ear infection.

Here’s a great pic of Dad and Mr. B – Bennett just loves his daddy.

Beau has definitely been a “mover” – he is non-stop with his karate moves in my belly. I feel him night and day, which has been a wonderful experience. I love knowing he’s active and healthy in there, and am starting to anticipate what meeting him will be like!

We still have many projects to do around the house: we just finished spraying the basement ceilings white to open it up a bit, painting the walls and are tackling the floors next (patching, painting and putting down indoor/outdoor carpet). We are trying to convert the space into a Pilates studio on one side, guest room on the other. Then, mom is coming down to help me remove the many layers of wallpaper, then repair the old plaster and re-paint in the current guest room, which will become Bennett’s room. After that, we’ll convert Bennett’s room into Beau’s. Additionally, we got all of our old cast iron pipes under the house updated to new PVC, along with adding a utility sink and relocating the washer and dryer so they are ACTUALLY NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER, and had the remainder of our decades-outdated knob-and-tube wiring removed and updated. Also, we are getting a new roof and gutters in April, finishing the patio area and fencing. WOW, busy!!

Work is going great and I will continue to work for Dr. Brandt part-time from home after Beau arrives. I will also be coming into the office three days a month, which will be a nice transition from diapers and breast milk. ;-)

Bennett hugs and kisses my belly and says, “baby”? He says hi to Beau at least once a day J. We are all so happy and excited – life is about to get very interesting!
