Ew, the flu!
I woke up in the middle of the night two nights ago to a horrible urge - not the typical kind of pregnant urge one might expect, like a snack for ice cream or pickles. Rather, a kind of deep, urgent, violent urge that said, "Get to the bathroom NOW!" I was up all night, not able to keep anything down.

Without getting into excessive detail, it was the WORST flu (or gastrointestinal virus, if you want to be more precise) I have ever had. Luckily yesterday was my day off, but all day I could barely move. Everything ached, my head hurt, I was dehydrated, etc. I kept drinking water, forcing crackers, but nothing would stick with me. And even more so than the flu, the worst was being barely available for Bennett - all while being pregnant! Poor Bennett was so confused... he would follow me to the bathroom, stand over me while my head was in the toilet and laugh. I guess I preferred this over him crying; it had to have been a confusing thing for him! I have barely been sick in the last couple of years, a true blessing, and yesterday reminded me of it!
Feeling much better now. I was able to have some chicken noodle soup with crackers last night that my wonderful husband served to me (he pretty much waited on me "hand and foot" from the time he got home at 3pm), and it was the first successful "kept" meal! Now I am just achy, but compared to yesterday I feel like GOLD! :-)
More news: I found out I passed my very intense Stott Pilates Certification practical and written exam, so I am OFFICIALLY a Certified Instructor! I got my new reformer (picture of B below playing in the long box) and have been enjoying it at home.
Also, a couple weeks ago I had my 16 week week check-up and everything is great with baby #2!!! I had gained 10lbs. at 17 weeks (whoa! ;-)), my BP was 102/64 and baby's heart rate was 154. :-) We have a name for both a girl or boy and are SO excited to find out in SIX DAYS!!!
